Building Nine

Flexibility encouraging growth in Life Sciences

Nine is a 90,000sqft speculative laboratory and office development for Scottish Enterprise at the BioQuarter next to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

A flexible layout allows fit-out with either laboratory, office or research facilities. Quality materials in the common areas complement the high quality finish of the base build.

As part of the shell and core development, MLA fitted out 30,000sqft fit out of the BioIncubator laboratories and offices together with meeting, conference, administration and social facilities.

The remaining building is designed to accommodate flexible laboratory and/or office use for the life science research and production industry. Since the completion of the shell & core base build, MLA have been involved in a number of specialist interior fit-out jobs totalling more than 50,000sqft at Nine, including the Usher Institute.
