A new face to the street.
The Turnbull Building was a former Tobacco Warehouse in traditional red sandstone on Glasgow’s George Street in the City Centre. For decades it had been used as offices for Strathclyde University however, following consolidation of their campus, the building became redundant.

Approach
MLA were approached by KR Developments to sensitively redevelop the office building into Student Residential Accommodation. The refurbished building includes a new two storey contemporary rooftop extension.

Communal areas on the ground and basement floors include a gym, cinema room, lounge and laundry, with a cycle store which is accessed from the original garage access to the warehouse.
