Another Successful MLA100K Completed!

Whoop Whoop!

On Friday 26th August, the Pentland Hills on the outskirts of Edinburgh were covered in little green dots as over 70 of the MLA team dressed identifiably in lime t-shirts braved the inclines to raise money for three great charities.

Despite some worrying heavy early morning drizzle, things cleared up just in time for us to start the challenge. Three routes around the hills of different lengths and difficulty had been scouted. By the end of the day, we had managed to complete enough circuits to tally up over 112,000 kms of vertical ascent and descent! Well done to our amazing team for a day full of enthusiastic running, walking and ‘stopping to admire the view’! We all got home safe and sound (aside from a couple of severe blisters)

A massive thanks to all our supporters for all the kind donations which have been gratefully received – we have so far raised over £7.5k which is incredible! If you haven’t yet and would like to, there is still time to donate – https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/mla100k2022

We must also say a big thanks to Alastair McClung of Swanston Farm for donating the location.

Having all got back to base camp intact (save for some nasty blisters) we topped off the day with our annual barbeque where we all got a chance to catch up, rest our weary legs, meet new team members and come up with some ideas for the 2024 MLA100K – watch this space!
