Construction begins on National Robotarium at Heriot-Watt

Construction has commenced on the National Robotarium at Heriot-Watt’s Riccarton Campus in Edinburgh. The National Robotarium will be a world-leading centre for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, creating innovative solutions to global challenges.

Michael Laird Architects have been working closely with Heriot-Watt and the design team to create a research and development facility which is at the forefront of robotics and autonomous systems.

Due for completion in 2022, the project is a collaboration between Heriot-Watt University and the University of Edinburgh and is funded as part of the Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region Deal.
