MLA were commissioned by MacTaggart & Mickel to create proposals to replace an outdated and underutilised shopping parade on 181-195 Corstorphine’s St John’s Road in west Edinburgh.
Previous proposals for the site had suggested a new retail development only, however our proposals for the site create a residential led mixed-use development, providing retail to the street with residential above.
The development will provide retail development of 1,286 sqm to St John’s Road, with 32 No. apartments above. To the south elevation are 4 No. townhouses.
The residential apartments are supported by 36 under-croft car parking spaces which all have electric charging points, whilst a courtyard garden space provides secluded green-space for residents.
