Borders Village Masterplan receives Planning Consent

MLA are very pleased that our expansion masterplan for the Borders Village of Newtown St Boswells has received Planning Permission in Principle (PPiP).

Working with H&H Group Plc and Cadell Properties, the masterplan proposes a mix of uses on the site of the existing Auction Mart. The Mart itself will be overhauled, whilst a new route into the mart removes livestock transport from the historic village centre.

The masterplan is also flexible to allow for the possible extension of the Borders Railway. You can read more on the BBC News website here.
