We are currently working on plans for an innovative new maturation warehouse facility in the Throsk area of Stirling. The maturation warehouse will play a vital role in the intricate cask transport network that connects various components of the IMD estate.

The warehouses will hold casks from all of Ian Macleod’s distilleries, which are Rosebank in Falkirk, Glengoyne in Stirlingshire and Tamdhu in Knockando on Speyside. The matured whisky will then be transferred by road tanker to IMD’s bottling facility in Broxburn.

Nestled within Stirling’s industrial hub, the site will house a complex of contemporary buildings, comprising of nine whisky storage warehouses, a blend centre associated to a state-of-the-art tank farm, and an office building.

A modern take on a traditional warehouse design, the project draws inspiration from the sequenced pitched roofs of historic storage and industrial buildings.
