Shortlisted for the BCO Awards 2024 Refurbished/Recycled Workplace

MLA were delighted to work in partnership with BT on the full refurbishment of two of their key regional offices, as part of their Better Workplace Programme.

The sister project to BT Glasgow’s Alexander Bain House, Riverside Tower is situated on the edge of the river Lagan, Belfast, within the Lanyon Place development. Despite its prime location, the 11 storey, 170,000 sqft building was under-utilised in recent years.

Working with the client, MLA assisted with the consolidation to Riverside Tower of staff from other locations, achieved through careful space analysis and implementation of flexible working on a larger scale.

Our concept brings a new approach to BT’s workspace, with finishes, furniture, branding and worksettings all getting a thorough overhaul to support the Better Workplace Programme and the  staff that will be housed here from a variety of diverse teams.

Notably, we have reconfigured the entrance to incorporate a new ‘portal’ that better defines the brand and BT’s presence in Belfast.
