One Month to Go Until the Scottish Whisky Awards

MLA are proud to be sponsoring the Excellence in Sustainability award at the upcoming Scottish Whisky Awards, continuing our support of the event for the forth year running. With just one month to go, the excitement is building for this prestigious event that celebrates the very best of Scotland’s whisky industry.

The awards ceremony will take place on St. Andrews Day in Glasgow, and promises to be an evening filled with recognition, innovation, and, of course, exceptional Scottish whisky. For us, sponsoring the Excellence in Sustainability award is a testament to our ongoing commitment to supporting the Scottish whisky industry, and underscores our dedication to ensuring that it remains environmentally responsible and sustainable for generations to come.

Over the past year, we have been involved in several exciting projects within the industry. Among them is our work on the revival of Rosebank Distillery for Ian Macleod Distillers, which is nearing completion. In August, our proposals for a new Warehouse facility in Bandeath received planning permission, which is a significant achievement and we’re excited for the next stage of this project. We have also been busy with distillery projects at Port Ellen on Islay, and Midfearn in the Highlands, whilst the private dining & café space at Talisker Distillery was shortlisted for a Scottish Design Award earlier this year.

In the lead up to the Awards, Project Director Stuart Falconer, will also be taking part in a panel discussion at the Scottish Distillers Conference on November 8th. The panel session, titled ‘The Great Green Debate,’ will focus on the crucial topic of sustainability in the whisky industry.

With the Awards fast approaching, we are looking forward to celebrating the industry’s achievements and supporting its continued growth. We are honoured to be a part of this journey and excited to see who will be crowned the winner of the Excellence in Sustainability award.
