A Year in Review
We would like to say a big thank you to all our clients and collaborators for a successful 2021 which has seen a variety of diverse projects progress through our studios. Some of the highlights are;

You might have noticed us talking about this one…One of our favourite recent projects, the Glenkinchie Distillery has been rewarded at the Scottish Design Awards and the EAA Awards in 2021, and is shortlisted in the AJ Retrofit Awards – to be announced in 2022!

Completed Jobs
We finished a number of jobs in a variety of sectors, and congratulations to all the teams involved for getting them over the line under difficult circumstances! These included Tweedbank, Ineos Phase 2, Inovyn in Runcorn, Quartermile 1 and Phase 1 of the Raeburn Place Stadium for the Edinburgh Academicals.

Planning News
Within the year, many jobs have been through the Planning Process.
We have submitted Haymarket Yards and Tynecastle High School, both student residential developments, and are awaiting decisions – fingers crossed!

Projects that gained full planning permission include 30 Semple Street, Meldrum House, Baltic Street and, in the Scottish Borders, The Newtown St Boswells Masterplan and The Jackson Distillery. We look forward to seeing these progress next year.

What’s in store for 2022?
Another busy year is lined up ahead, with many jobs on site and due for completion during the next 12 months across a variety of sectors.
Commercial Office
in the pipeline, we have our HQ building at Stirling’s Kildean Business Park completing in the Spring. We also have refurbishments at 200 Broomielaw and Tay House in Glasgow in progress.

Education
The National Robotarium for Heriot Watt University is also due to complete in the first half of 2022.

- On site for CALA Homes, we have the Royal Blind School and also the final phases of the Boroughmuir High School Redevelopment, which started on site in 2021. For Dundas, our Wireworks development in Musselburgh will be full steam ahead.

Fit Outs
We are close to completing our major fit out at Capital Square for Brodies LLP, and will also be completing 1 Morrison Street for Franklin Templeton. We also continue work on high profile fit outs at the Haymarket Development for both Baillie Gifford and Shepherd & Wedderburn.

Whisky Sector
Work continues apace at the Rosebank Distillery which will continue throughout 2022. We are also on site at Talisker on Skye for Diageo, and will also be progressing their resurrection of the Port Ellen Distillery on Islay.
